Canadian Election & Ethio-Canadian voters

Hi Everyone,

Promises are flowing from all political parties. Mostly the conservative party is tring to buy votes on all kind of tax credits and cuts, some of them good and some of them thak look nice for the headlines. For example steven harper promised to cut the GST by one percent immdietly and one percent in five years. It sounds nice but only few people who make large purchaise will benefit. The other promose is to give parents 100 dollars a month. On that I can tell you from experience you don't get any one who will care for your child, so it sounds good but I will stick with the liberal subsdized child care program.

So the conservatives are not gaining any grounds in ontario, even though thiy are promising the sky and the moon.....eh According to current polls the conservatives are trailing the liberal by 19 points. so.......good luck..................

Stalkwal day the forigen critic of the conservatives has been active on the Ethiopian Issue. When the prime minster was silent on ethiopian situation it was Mr. Day has been rasing our issue many times....good job Mr. Day Maybe many Ethiopians in diaspora may vote conservative......it is good to thinck about it......... sor mor on the conservative ploicy check www.conservative.ca

Canadian Election & Ethio-Canadian voters

JANUARY, 23 2006 10PM UNOFFICIAL ELECTION RESULT

CONSERVATIVE 110
LIBERAL 105
NDP 31
BLOCK 54
GREEN 1

Yes, it is time again, for Canadian voters to go to the polls. So far it's no issue kind of politics.
what do you thinck about the above result. am I out of line?

Ethiopians are recent immigrants, most of them arrived in this country after 1982....Do they vote? for who? It is estmated there are more than 5000 ethiopians in the GTA
which is the party that is more sympatetic to recent arrivals.....let's talk

For me this will be my fifth time to participate in Canadain election...Once I voted conservative
once NDP and twice LIBERAL. Why LIBERAL?

Becouse in my riding NDP has nil chance to win. The game is between the conservatives and liberals...Since I never suported the Ideas and policies of the new conservative party, I vote liberal. I am very disapointed with the liberal government regarding thier position towards the fascist regime in Ethiopia. I was expecting them to stand for democracy and civil rights...but they let us down......pierre petegrew.... I can't spell his name is one of the worst foriegn mister that Canada had in a long time...He participated in the ousting of democraticaly elected president in Haiti....and when the devil of Addis was excuting innocent civillians he was only just concerned...how many ethiopians should have to die for canada to react.... OR TO STAND WITH THE PEOPLE OF ETHIOPIA probably 900.000 like in Rwanda....SHAME SHAME SHAME.......... on Paul Martin. How am I vote this time...I have hard time to vote liberal?????????????????????????????forget gomery or scandal or gun violence..my issue is Canada's foriegn policy....

I WANT TO HEAR FROM ETHIO-CANADAIANS...HOW ARE THEY GOING TO VOTE...
WHAT IS THIER MAIN ISSUE...LETS TALK...............................................
